Enter the name for this tabbed section: RUNNING BACK TO YOU [2003]
ALBUM DESCRIPTION
«Running Back To You» is Matthias Heimlicher's last solo album so far and also his first vocal production and comprises a wide variety of musical styles: Pop, Rock, Funk, Cool Jazz, Soul and more. All the 12 songs on the project were written, arranged, produced, performed, recorded, edited and mixed by the multi instrumentalist and singer - but many good friends and fellows that followed Matthias' musical way throughout the past years were invited and gave their tribute to this album.

Most of the project has been recorded at Heimlicher's top-modern studio in Switzerland, but some instruments were tracked at several other locations on this planet: Paris, Los Angeles, Nashville, Hannover, Basel, Zurich and other cities. Many of the recording sessions came together on a very spontaneous basis - and some of the recorded tracks happened very quick: All the drum tracks from Vinnie Colaiuta are first takes (no alternative recording pass). Steve Lukather's guitars were tracked at Simon Phillips house - the guitar amp was placed at Simon's garage. Abe Laboriel, John Peña, Justo Almario, Paul Jackson and other musicians were tracked at their homes or other apartments nearby. These circumstances create a very unique, spontaneous and creative feel to the whole project.

Enter the name for this tabbed section: HEIMLICH(ER) [1992]
ALBUM DESCRIPTION
«Heimlicher(er)», a pun with his name which means «privily him», is Matthias' first professional music album, realized at the age of 23. Most of the production has been tracked at his bedroom or at different homes, mixing has been done in a music store's showroom, during night hours. The result is a fresh, straight-forward instrumental album, peppered with soulful backing and rap vocals. Done completely on analog tape, this production has a warm, charming vibe and reflects the sound of the early nineties.

Enter the name for this tabbed section: NO COMPROMISE [1989]
ALBUM DESCRIPTION
«No Compromise», what a CD title for a debut solo album, full of compromises... Well, at young and wild ages, nothing seems impossible and everything's worth a try. The result is a funny load of creative ideas. You can hear skillful playing, combined with rudimental production knowledge - but hey, you have to get started somewhere :-)
FEATURED MUSICIANS
Besides some backing singers from his circle of friends, no additional musicians have been involved to this project. Most everything on this project has been performed and programmed on a Korg M1 - at that time the ultimate keyboard workstation.
